Our customers are NATO-aligned militaries and defense institutions, and our systems are regularly deployed during live exercises and operational demonstrations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Founded in 2024, we have grown to 90 people, raised over $60M, and increased revenue 40× this year. We are now entering a new phase of international expansion, industrial scaling, fundraising, and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for Alta Ares' Hardware and Engineering teams, focusing on critical technical roles across R&D, Production and Industrialization.

  • Build proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for key hardware profiles, including electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, embedded systems engineers, FPGA specialists, test engineers and industrialization experts.

  • Drive hands-on sourcing and headhunting to identify and attract high-impact technical talent from defense, aerospace and other advanced hardware industries.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, R&D and Production leaders to define role requirements, align on hiring priorities and deliver high-quality candidates.

  • Manage the full recruitment process, from initial outreach to offer negotiation, ensuring speed, quality and an outstanding candidate experience.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Alta Ares' hardware technologies, engineering challenges and industrial ambitions to effectively engage and assess specialized technical candidates.

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines across relevant engineering ecosystems, including defense contractors, aerospace companies, deep-tech startups and specialized technical networks.

  • Track recruitment KPIs, identify bottlenecks and continuously improve sourcing strategies, interview processes and hiring efficiency.

  • Contribute to strengthening Alta Ares' employer brand within the hardware engineering community through targeted outreach, industry networks and relevant technical events.

  • Support recruitment across other business functions as needed, while maintaining a strong focus on Hardware and Engineering hiring.

Candidate Profile

  • 2 to 5 years of recruitment experience, ideally combining agency or executive search expertise with in-house recruitment experience.

  • Proven track record of recruiting hardware and engineering talent, ideally within defense, aerospace, robotics, electronics or other advanced hardware industries.

  • Excellent hands-on sourcing and headhunting skills, with a proven ability to build talent pipelines and engage passive candidates in competitive talent markets.

  • Experience in a scale-up or high-growth environment, ideally as an early talent acquisition hire.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner effectively with technical leaders and hiring managers.

  • Data-driven approach, with the ability to use recruitment metrics to improve hiring performance.

  • Entrepreneurial, autonomous and resourceful, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
