Title: Sr. Perception Engineer (UA)
Key Responsibilities:
Research and develop digital signal processing (DSP) and machine learning models centered on radio and sensor data for applications like event detection, radio direction finding, signal classification, etc;
Create and optimize signal classification models, focusing on the unique signatures of objects (e.g., drones, aircraft);
Support synthetic data generation and data collection process for radio data.
Support integration of perception algorithms into production environments, ensuring real-time performance and reliability.
Work closely with the hardware and prototyping teams to enable efficient integration and synchronization of sensor systems.
Contribute to system architecture and help scale perception modules to support expanding operational needs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in software engineering and AI/ML development with proven contributions to DSP, computer vision, and/or audio signal processing systems.
Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with hands-on experience in TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Practical experience with signal processing tools such as Matlab, librosa, torchaudio, and other signal processing libraries.
Proficiency in signal processing and classification, event detection, computer vision, image processing and machine learning.
Experience deploying models on edge devices (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Google Coral) and working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
Nice to Have:
Hands-on experience with sensor fusion, IMU data, and embedded system integration.
Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices or defense, including knowledge of certification and validation workflows.
Prior leadership in building R
