Job description

About the Role

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be the bridge between electrical design and scalable production. You will take ownership of translating our advanced E/E architecture into robust, manufacturable, and cost-efficient systems that form the backbone of our autonomous robots.

This role is about more than just components; it’s about shaping the industrialization strategy for the very nervous system of our platforms. You will act as the central link between our design, supply chain, and production teams, ensuring that our systems work flawlessly from the first time and every time.

What You’ll Build

  • Design and develop the complete wiring harnesses for our robotic systems, from high-level routing concepts to detailed connector and protection strategies.
  • Architect modular electrical systems and subassemblies that enable us to build, test, and scale our production efficiently.
  • Create, structure, and manage the Bills of Materials (BOMs) that define our products, guiding them from engineering (EBOM) to manufacturing (MBOM).
  • Integrate all electrical data into our central PLM systems, ensuring perfect data consistency across EPLAN, CAD, and procurement workflows.
  • Champion Design-for-Manufacturing (DfM) and cost-optimization initiatives, making our electrical systems smarter, leaner, and more reliable.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal partners in production and quality to deliver world-class results.
  • Develop and refine the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that guide our electrical supply chain and industrialization workflow.
  • Directly support production, integration, and testing with a hands-on approach focused on scalability, robustness, and repeatability.

What You Bring

  • A background in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field, gained through a degree or hands-on experience.
  • Proven experience in electrical integration, harness design, or the industrialization of complex E/E systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with modern harness design tools (such as EPLAN Harness ProD, Capital, or Zuken).
  • A strong understanding of connectors, cable assemblies, crimping technologies, and associated production processes.
  • Solid experience with BOM structures and PLM systems (like Teamcenter or ARAS), including variant and configuration management.
  • A practical, solution-oriented mindset with a clear focus on implementation and scalability.
  • A structured, proactive, and detail-oriented way of working.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
